The first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Smartphone with Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max: The vivo IQOO 9 Pro – sells out in 10 seconds

Fingerprint readers powered by the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max are one of the fastest and easiest ways to unlock your smartphone. 3D Sonic Max also has features you cannot find in other fingerprint readers, including 1-tap enrollment, unlocking directly into apps, and unlocking when the device is wet or when your finger is wet. But like 3D Sonic, you have to be fast to get a device with it.

Just last month Vivo launched the vivo IQOO 9 Pro – the first smartphone powered by the brand-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that includes the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Fans were so excited for this launch, that it sold out in 10 seconds.

The award-winning Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max is Qualcomm Technologies’ fastest and largest fingerprint sensor. It also brings under-display fingerprint experiences you cannot find anywhere else.

The Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max in the IQOO 9 Pro delivers an incredibly fast fingerprint enrollment process – 1-tap and you’re done.  And once your fingerprint is enrolled, it delivers one of the fastest unlocks in the mobile industry –just .2 seconds (not a typo, that’s 2/10 of second).

The Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max fingerprint reading area is massive (20x30mm2) – over 4x the size of 3D Sonic Gen 2. The large fingerprint sensing region makes it easy to unlock the iQOO 9 Pro and provides unique unlocking experiences. Like its 3D Max equipped predecessor, the IQOO 9 Pro has the ability to split the fingerprint sensing region into three distinct regions – you can assign an app within two of these regions.  Just tap those regions and you can unlock directly into these apps.
