One full charge: Two creators put the performance, connectivity, and battery life of the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 powered Samsung Galaxy Book Go 5G to the test
Find a laptop user who doesn’t care about battery life. We’ll wait.
For most, it’s among the top features they consider when purchasing a new device. And it’s one of the reasons we’re so proud of our Snapdragon® Compute Platforms.
But how much can you really do on a laptop on one full charge? We wanted to show you, so we collaborated with two incredibly talented artists, gave them a Samsung Galaxy Book Go 5G powered by Snapdragon, and challenged them to come up with something truly amazing (spoiler alert: they most certainly did!).
First, though, we reached out to you, our Snapdragon Insiders community, for some input. We put some polls out on social and our Snapdragon Insiders Hub, asking a few pointed questions that our artists used for inspiration. (Thanks for that, BTW.)
Our artists— Music Producer Matty Beats (@mattybeats on Instagram and @mattybeatsmusic on TikTok) and Visual Artist Blaine Fontana (@blainefontana on Instagram)—recently met up in Portland, Oregon to collaborate using the power of the Snapdragon compute platform. One laptop. One 5G connection. One full charge. The two were able to create some pretty cool art in just 12 hours, with battery life to spare.
See everything they created.

While our artists were doing their thing, Rachel Lemire, Mgr. Product Marketing, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. went live on our Snapdragon Insiders Instagram channel (@snapdragoninsiders) with Samsung Electronics Product Strategy & Portfolio Planning Manager Paul Yun. The two watched the artists collaborate in real time while discussing what’s possible with the Samsung Galaxy Book Go 5G laptop powered by the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G Compute Platform. They covered what makes this combination so unique: lightning-fast connectivity, battery life that gives you time to create, tremendous processing power, and a fan-less design that’s lightweight, cool and quiet.
Samsung’s vision— like Qualcomm Technologies’s— “is to combine the performance of a laptop with the connectivity and portability of a smartphone.” Paul spoke about what people want from their laptops: seamless communication, sustained productivity, and immersive entertainment anywhere, and at any time. That’s why Samsung designed the Samsung Galaxy Book Go. And as he told Rachel, “the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G Compute Platform delivers responsive performance that runs cooler and quieter than the competition thanks to its fan-less design.”

Speaking of that Samsung Galaxy Book Go 5G laptop, Blaine did us the great honor of painting it and we gave it away to a lucky Insider.
And if you love what was created as much as we do, we know you’ll be psyched about this: Our Snapdragon Insiders can download the graphics from the collab for their laptops, tablets, and phones.
