Behind the Scenes in Beijing: Snapdragon Insider Sheena’s POV on our 5th Anniversary Party
Last week, Snapdragon Insiders gathered in China’s capital city for the Snapdragon Insiders Annual Party 2026, celebrating five years of the Snapdragon Insiders program. This year’s theme was “Powered by You.”

Attendees got a chance to get hands-on with new smartphones and VR headsets, explore the latest features from the cockpit of AI-defined vehicles, and even have a playful kickabout with a miniature humanoid robot.
As part of the main event, one lucky Snapdragon Insider from the UK, Sheena (@creationsbysheena), got the chance to represent our global Snapdragon Insiders community and address her fellow tech enthusiasts live onstage. We caught up with her afterward to get her rapid reactions to the whole experience.
What was the most surprising moment for you?
The scale and energy of it all. It felt like a movie set. One of the biggest highlights for me was getting hands-on with new technology—the car with the Snapdragon® Cockpit Platform inside it blew my mind. It really shows how forward-thinking the tech is. It genuinely felt surreal being there.
What was it like being onstage at the annual party?
A genuine “pinch me” moment. It still feels so surreal, even when looking back at the pictures. Standing onstage in China, representing the UK alongside other Snapdragon Insiders, is something I’ll never forget. It was exciting, slightly nerve-wracking, but incredibly rewarding.
How much fun did you have connecting with fellow tech fans and Snapdragon Insiders?
That was probably one of the best parts of the trip. Everyone came from different backgrounds, and some didn’t speak the same language, but the excitement for tech was exactly the same. There was an instant connection. It never felt forced—just genuine conversations, shared talents, and a lot of laughter and selfies. It reminded me how global the Snapdragon Insiders community really is.
Give us the story behind your favorite #ShotOnSnapdragon moment.
Hard to choose! I found myself using my phone far more than my camera gear because everything was happening so fast and we were constantly on the move... I’ll say: Selfies.
It was so nice to get people to just jump in, take a pic, and everyone felt involved. The shots weren’t planned or staged—just natural moments where light, subject, and timing came together.
That’s what #ShotOnSnapdragon felt like for me: capturing real memories instantly, without overthinking or missing the moment. They don’t need to be perfect—just meaningful to me. And when I look back at them, I can’t help but smile.
What’s a memory that truly captures the spirit of the global Snapdragon community?
Everyone gathering together after the event—taking photos, exchanging details, and celebrating the experience together. Everyone was genuinely excited to connect and be part of the moment. It didn’t feel like strangers meeting for the first time; it felt like a community that already understood each other through a shared passion.
I came away incredibly grateful. Not just for the opportunity to visit China for the first time, but also for the people I met and the memories I’ll genuinely hold onto for a long time.
What would you tell someone who’s considering becoming a Snapdragon Insider?
Just say yes to the opportunities that come from it. You never know where this community might take you or who you’ll meet along the way.
I never thought experiences like this were something that happened to “normal” people—it always feels like it’s for people with huge followings or millions of likes. But being there showed me that isn’t true.
Join, put yourself out there, engage with the community, and enjoy every moment of it. There’s really nothing to lose—and a lot to gain.
