Qualcomm Appoints Colin Ryan as Chief Strategy & Corporate Development Officer

Qualcomm Incorporated today announced the appointment of Colin Ryan to the position of Chief Strategy & Corporate Development Officer. In his role, Ryan will have oversight of strategic planning, M&A, Qualcomm Ventures, and corporate business development. Ryan’s appointment will be effective immediately and he will report directly to Cristiano Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm Incorporated.

As a former strategic advisor to Qualcomm, Colin brings a deep understanding of our business and diversification strategy, so is well positioned to help us execute the opportunities in front of us across mobile, compute, XR, automotive, edge networking, industrial IOT and more.”

Prior to joining Qualcomm, Ryan spent more than 25 years at Goldman Sachs advising clients across the technology, media and telecom industries on strategy, corporate finance and M&A. He held various leadership positions in both the US and Europe, including Global Co-Head of Technology M&A, Co-Head of M&A for the Americas, and Global Co-Chairman of the Technology Media and Telecom advisory business. Most recently, he founded his own investment firm, Clipper Street Capital. Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in International Law from University College Dublin.
