Qualcomm Named One of FORTUNE’s “100 Best Companies to Work For”

FORTUNE announced Thursday that Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) has been ranked #23 on the 15th annual “100 Best Companies to Work For” list. The full list and related stories appear in the February 6, 2012 issue of FORTUNE, available now at www.fortune.com/bestcompanies.

“It is our honor to be recognized by FORTUNE magazine for the 14th consecutive year,” said Dan Sullivan, executive vice president of human resources at Qualcomm. “Qualcomm continues to value our employees, not only as partners in success, but also as the very engine that drives that success. This was one of the company’s founding principles more than 25 years ago, and it’s just as valid today. We are inspired by our employees and the skills, intelligence and camaraderie they bring to Qualcomm every day.”

To pick the 100 Best Companies to Work For, Fortune partners with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America. Two-thirds of a company’s score is based on the results of the institute’s Trust Index survey, which is sent to a random sample of employees from each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about management’s credibility, job satisfaction, and camaraderie. The other third is based on responses to the institute’s Culture Audit, which includes questions about pay and benefit programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring practices, methods of internal communication, training, recognition programs, and diversity efforts.

Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) is the world leader in 3G and next-generation mobile technologies.
