Qualcomm CDMA University Offers 3G CDMA2000 and WCDMA (UMTS) Course Training on DVD-ROM

Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced the availability of third-generation (3G) CDMA2000 and WCDMA (UMTS) training courses on DVD-ROM format, which are being offered by Qualcomm's CDMA University, the technical training group of the Company. Offered individually or as a complete set of six DVDs, the instructional courses cover all operating modes of CDMA, including CDMA2000 1X and WCDMA (UMTS), and are designed to help wireless professionals gain a better understanding of CDMA technology, its optimum design, and how it operates in real-world networks.

"CDMA network operators will strongly benefit from the complete set of DVDs as it provides them substantial cost and time savings by eliminating travel time since participants will now have the option to take the sessions at their own leisure."

The complete CDMA2000 DVD course, filmed during live classes and taught by CDMA experts, is available individually or in six sessions and includes the following course titles:

  • CDMA2000 1X Series (RC1&RC2, Rel 0, Rel A)
  • CDMA2000 Network Planning
  • CDMA2000 Voice Network Optimization
  • CDMA2000 Wireless Internet Optimization
  • CDMA Repeater Design&Deployment
  • 3G Standards: UMTS/WCDMA&CDMA2000
