Federal Express to Implement Qualcomm's OmniTRACS Technology

Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM) today announced it has signed a contract with Federal Express Corporation for the purchase of OmniTRACS® mobile communications units. Installation is currently under way with completion planned by May 31st. Memphis,Tenn.-based Federal Express will also implement Qualcomm's SensorTRACS®driver performance monitoring system.

Federal Express selected Qualcomm's satellite real-time communications because on time receipt of driver messages is important to the maintenance of reliable Federal Express delivery services.
