USA Truck Finds Qualcomm's OmniTRACS System Best Product Available

Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) announced that Van Buren, Ark.-based USA Truck, Inc. has signed a multi-million dollar contract to purchase 2,000 OmniTRACS® satellite mobile communications units over the next five years. More than half of the contract amount has been delivered to date.

A truckload carrier serving 48 states, the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec, and Mexico via Laredo, Texas, USA Truck is committed to providing quality customer service and fulfilling the growing demands placed on the trucking industry. "More and more customers are requesting that we have the ability to know where their freight is at all times," stated Rusty Jacobs, vice president of operations at USA Truck. "We are confident the OmniTRACS system will further enhance our position in the industry."

Previously using a combination of computer records, phones and a satellite paging system, USA Truck spent a great deal of time researching the best form of mobile communications to suit their needs. "We've been following technology development and decided the time was right to make our decision about which was best for us," stated Jacobs. "After reviewing the top products available on the market, we decided that Qualcomm's superior product and its reputation for quality customer support was the best choice for us."

"We know there are many choices available to the industry today," stated John Sarto, president of Qualcomm's OmniTRACS Division. "But we are always pleased to know that after a great deal of research the OmniTRACS system still proves to be the best choice. We look forward to working with USA Truck to see that their goal of superior customer service is obtained."

With over 200,000 OmniTRACS units sold worldwide, Qualcomm is the leader in providing mobile communications and information management systems to the transportation industry. Qualcomm currently has systems operating in the United States, Canada, Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Korea and Malaysia.
