Motorola and Verizon have just announced the Droid Turbo, a 4K ready smartphone designed for those in need of lightning fast charging speeds and long lasting power.

With a crystal-clear 5.2-inch Quad HD display (565 ppi) to provide a superior media streaming experience, the Droid Turbo by Motorola is powered by the cutting-edge Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 805 processor, running on Android 4.4 (Kit Kat), with 32-64GB of on board memory, 3GB of RAM, integrated 4G LTE capability and a 21MP rear camera equipped for 4K video capture and playback. Plus, the exclusive Droid Zap App makes mirroring content on a home TV, or sharing memos and memories among friends, quick and simple.

The Droid Turbo takes full advantage of the Adreno™ 420 GPU to create an ideal experience for mobile gamers looking for immersive and realistic console-quality gameplay. The Snapdragon 805’s 64-bit processing enables memory-intensive games and applications to run smoothly. Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 2.0 technology combined with Droid Turbo’s optimized battery life keeps this device charged for hours on end, and the device ships with the Quick Charge 2.0 certified Motorola Turbo Charger which, according to Motorola, packs up to eight hours of power with just a 15 minute charge.

To protect all these cutting-edge features inside, the Droid Turbo is built to last. Materials include ballistic nylon or metalized glass fiber for a sleek yet durable design, all of which are reinforced with Kevlar a material that’s five times stronger than steel, according to its tensile strength-to-weight ratio.

The Verizon Droid Turbo by Motorola will be available in Metallic Black, Metallic Red or Ballistic Nylon, starting today.

Qualcomm® Snapdragon™, Qualcomm® Adreno™, and Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ are products of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
