Overview: A cross-device AI emotional wellness platform, powered by Snapdragon
TRIPP is a cross-device AI emotional wellness platform, delivering clinically informed, deeply personalized emotional support across VR headsets, AI smart glasses, and mobile. Built on a proprietary dataset of 25 million mood check-ins, TRIPP's emotional support AI companion, Kōkua AI, recognizes users' emotional states, adapts coaching in real time, and carries a continuous context layer across TRIPP apps on every device a user picks up throughout the day.
Founded by CEO Nanea Reeves, TRIPP has grown into a popular mental wellness application on Meta Quest, a Day 1 launch partner on Samsung Galaxy XR, and an active development partner on the Android XR smart glasses initiative. With over 15 million sessions delivered, 30+ studies including peer-reviewed publications, and studied in three NIH-funded research grants, TRIPP combines broad consumer adoption with a research-informed approach to VR wellness.
At the foundation of every immersive, ambient, and mobile experience TRIPP delivers is Snapdragon technology, the common silicon layer that makes real-time emotional support possible across headsets, smart glasses, and phones.
Challenge: Millions need mental wellness support they can't get, and no single device can deliver it continuously
The mental health crisis has outpaced the systems built to address it. Over 970 million people globally live with a mental health disorder, yet access to support remains fragmented, stigmatized, and prohibitively expensive. Traditional therapy averages $100 to $200 per session with weeks-long waitlists, and 60% of US counties lack a single practicing psychiatrist.
For the millions experiencing daily stress, burnout, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm, the gap between needing support and receiving it is widening.
Existing digital wellness solutions compound the problem by being siloed by device and modality: a meditation app on a phone cannot follow a user into an immersive VR session; a text-only chatbot cannot recognize the emotional weight in a user’s voice; an AI assistant on smart glasses cannot continue a conversation that began during a phone call the night before. The result is a disjointed experience that fails to meet people where they are, in the moments they need support most.
TRIPP set out to solve a deceptively complex problem: how do you deliver clinically informed, deeply personalized emotional support that is always available, contextually aware, and continuous across every device a person uses throughout the day? The answer demanded hardware that could sustain immersive, low-latency, standalone experiences in VR; enable ambient, always-on emotional coaching in smart glasses; and power conversational, on-device AI on mobile, all within a unified ecosystem that allows a single coherent emotional support experience to move seamlessly with the user.
The requirements were demanding:
Standalone immersive VR compute: real-time adaptive environment rendering, spatial audio, and responsive interaction tracking on a standalone headset with no PC tether or cloud dependency
On-device AI for conversational wellness: low-latency natural language processing, voice recognition, and real-time voice cloning to deliver coaching in the voice of a trusted person, on mobile, without compromising fluency when network conditions vary
Ambient smart glasses compute: always-on context awareness and discreet audio coaching that surface emotional support in the flow of work and life, without requiring users to reach for their phone
Cross-device continuity: a unified hardware and software foundation across VR, smart glasses, and mobile that allows TRIPP’s emotional AI context layer to persist and adapt across every interaction
Consumer-scale performance: the processing power and efficiency to sustain deeply personal emotionally supportive immersive experiences at mass-market price points, across multiple hardware generations and form factors
The Solution: TRIPP built a platform powered by Snapdragon that delivers continuous, personalized emotional support across VR, mobile, and smart glasses
TRIPP has built the first cross-device AI emotional support platform, with hardware powered by Snapdragon enabling immersive, low-latency, and contextually aware experiences across the user’s day. The platform delivers personalized emotional support coaching through three integrated channels that share a unified AI memory and context layer.
TRIPP VR runs on Meta Quest devices powered by Snapdragon XR chipsets. The on-device compute capability of the Snapdragon XR platform enables real-time rendering of dynamic immersive environments, spatial audio processing, and responsive interaction tracking that make deep emotional personalization possible on a standalone headset, with no PC tether or external compute required. Users engage in adaptive mindfulness, breathwork, and emotionally responsive experiences that adjust in real time to their emotional state and session history.
Kōkua AI is TRIPP’s always-available emotional support companion, running across mobile, telephony (voice and text), and currently in active development for AI smart glasses powered by Snapdragon. Kōkua AI features real-time voice cloning, allowing users to receive emotional coaching in the voice of a trusted person of their choosing, with consent-based vocal modeling, alongside real-time generative image creation that adapts visual and immersive content to each user’s emotional state and preferences. On mobile, the Snapdragon AI Engine enables on-device natural language processing, low-latency audio handling, and efficient management of cloud-assisted features, ensuring a smooth and responsive conversational experience under variable network conditions.
Continuity Across the Device Ecosystem Powered by Snapdragon
What makes the TRIPP architecture uniquely powerful is cross-device continuity. A user can begin a breathing session in VR, continue a check-in conversation with Kōkua AI via a phone call during their commute, and receive a contextually aware glance-based emotional prompt on their AI smart glasses during a stressful meeting. TRIPP’s AI remembers, adapts, and coaches continuously across the device ecosystem powered by Snapdragon. This persistent emotional context layer is the foundational differentiator: no other wellness platform delivers this coherence of experience across VR, mobile, and ambient computing.
How Snapdragon Technology Powers This
Snapdragon XR (VR/MR headsets): Enables the standalone immersive experience at the heart of TRIPP applications. Real-time adaptive environment rendering, spatial audio, and responsive interaction tracking all run on-device across Meta Quest, Samsung Galaxy XR, HTC Vive, and Pico without compromising performance or requiring external hardware. The Snapdragon XR platform’s heterogeneous compute architecture distributes AI inference, video rendering, and audio workloads simultaneously, sustaining the immersive fidelity that makes emotional regulation meaningfully effective.
AI smart glasses powered by Snapdragon (in active development): TRIPP is building Kōkua AI as a glance-and-go emotional support companion for next-generation smart glasses including Snap Spectacles, Meta smart glasses (Snapdragon AR1 family), and Android XR intelligent eyewear. Smart glasses powered by Snapdragon enable ambient context awareness, discreet audio coaching, and real-time emotional cues delivered without disrupting the user’s flow.
Snapdragon mobile platforms: The Kōkua mobile and telephony experience leverages the Snapdragon AI engine for on-device natural language processing, low-latency audio handling, and efficient management of cloud-assisted features including real-time voice cloning. This ensures a fluid, responsive conversational experience across variable network conditions, making always-available emotional support a technical reality rather than an aspiration.
Results: Proof at consumer scale on hardware powered by Snapdragon
The measure of an emotional wellness platform is not how many people try it. It is who stays, and for how long.
- Scale: More than 15 million wellness sessions delivered with the large majority on standalone headsets powered by Snapdragon.
- Sustained engagement: More than half of TRIPP's premium (subscribing) monthly active users have been with the platform for 12 months or longer.
- A different audience for mental wellness: TRIPP's user base is 59% male, an unusual profile in digital wellness. Immersive hardware reaches people traditional meditation apps have not.
- Category leadership: Named to Meta's Best Sellers of 2025, a 50-title list spanning every category on the Horizon Store, and the only meditation and mental wellness application on it. TRIPP continues to chart, consistently ranking in the Top 5 on the store's top-selling apps.
- Research: More than 30 published studies have examined TRIPP, and the platform is currently in use in active research worldwide, including federally funded initiatives at leading academic medical centers and three programs funded by the National Institutes of Health.
TRIPP now ships across Meta Quest, Samsung Galaxy XR, HTC Vive, and Pico, with Kōkua AI on mobile and telephony and in active development for smart glasses powered by Snapdragon. Every one of these outcomes depends on doing the work on the device. The performance headroom of Snapdragon XR is what lets TRIPP deliver adaptive, emotionally responsive experiences at consumer price points, on hardware people already own.
