New Qualcomm Innovators Development Kit Extends the Power of Premium Snapdragon to Developer Communities

Highlights:

• Qualcomm® Innovators Development Kit enables new developer communities to work with Qualcomm Technologies software stacks on Snapdragon® mobile platforms
• The Qualcomm Innovators Development Kit, which minimizes time-to-market for developers and increases flexibility and customization, is available via an early access program

During the Snapdragon Summit 2022, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. announced the Qualcomm® Innovators Development Kit, which enables developers to work across various Qualcomm Technologies software solutions to minimize time-to-market and increase customization. In the first phase, the Qualcomm Innovators Development Kit features a hardware development kit based on the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, software tools, and support for a new community of developers. This Qualcomm Innovators Development Kit will first be available to select universities and research institutions for on-device machine learning applications and will expand to additional developer segments in the future, such as security, multimedia, embedded systems computing, and more.

Through the availability of tools and resources, including the Qualcomm® AI Stack, the Qualcomm Innovators Development Kit allows developers to conduct on-device AI research in order to create cutting-edge AI applications, allowing for even more flexibility with end solutions. Several leading research institutions in the United States, including Duke, MIT, and University of California San Diego, are sampling the Qualcomm Innovators Development Kit in the coming months.
