Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies and mobile data solutions, today announced the addition of Greg Young as vice president of engineering and product management for Qualcomm's next-generation push-to-talk solution, QChat®. Young joins Qualcomm with 21 years of international telecom industry experience, most recently serving as CTO at TATA Teleservices Ltd., India. In his new role, effective March 16, Young will report to QChat General Manager Michael Wallace.

“Greg brings a reputation as an innovator who creates and fosters strong relationships with customers, venders and partners alike,” said Michael Wallace, vice president and general manager of QChat for Qualcomm Internet Services. “QChat will benefit from his international telecom experience, and he will be instrumental in strengthening business opportunities and relationships for QChat on a global scale.”

While serving as CTO at TATA Teleservices, Young was responsible for network operations, network expansion, wireless technology and value added services platforms. His responsibilities also included the selection, acquisition and implementation of new technologies and platforms that translated into commercially viable products and services.
