Qualcomm Appoints John Gilbert as Vice President of Investor and Industry Analyst Relations

Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading developer and innovator of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and other advanced wireless technologies, today announced the appointment of John Gilbert to vice president of investor and industry analyst relations within the Company's global marketing & investor relations group. John will transition into this new role during the next 60 days, at which time he will oversee the Company's investor relations programs and relationships with Qualcomm's shareholders, equity analysts and industry analysts, and the timely dissemination of information and data to these important stakeholders.

“John's strong finance and communications skills, coupled with his 12 years of experience with Qualcomm, will be valuable to the investor relations team,” said Bill Davidson, vice president of global marketing and investor relations, Qualcomm. “I am proud of the reputation that Qualcomm has built with financial analysts, investors and industry thought leaders as being proactive and open in our communications. I am confident that John will build upon and further strengthen these key relationships.”

Gilbert joined Qualcomm in 1994 and most recently served as vice president of finance for Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions (QWBS). Prior to joining Qualcomm, Gilbert worked for General Dynamics' Space Systems division.
