Qualcomm Congratulates Iusacell on the Rollout of Third-Generation Services in Mexico

SAN DIEGO -- January 24, 2003 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, congratulates Iusacell, provider of cellular telephony products and services, on its commercial launch of third-generation (3G) CDMA2000 1X services. Iusacell commenced its 3G services at a launch ceremony held yesterday, January 23, 2003, in Mexico City.
