Qualcomm and Wavecom Sign CDMA Module License Agreement

SAN DIEGO and ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX, France -- September 30, 2002 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, and Wavecom S.A. (Nasdaq: WVCM; Nouveau Marché: 7306), the world's number one provider of integrated wireless modules, today announced that they have entered into a CDMA module license agreement. Under the terms of the royalty-bearing agreement, Qualcomm has granted Wavecom a worldwide license under Qualcomm's CDMA technology and patents to develop, manufacture and sell cdmaOne™ and CDMA2000 1X/1xEV-DO modules for use in wireless communications devices.
