Qualcomm Named to FORTUNE Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work for in America"

Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced it was named one of FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work for in America" for the third consecutive year.

"Qualcomm has always placed great emphasis on creating a positive working environment that cultivates a balance between work and life. We believe Qualcomm's growth and success in the global telecommunications market is based on the contributions of its employees," said Rich Sulpizio, president and chief operating officer for Qualcomm. "It is an honor to have our employees' efforts, dedication and expertise be recognized by FORTUNE magazine for the third consecutive year."

Qualcomm's success in fostering a favorable workplace is a result of the many benefits it offers its employees. The FORTUNE "100 Best Companies to Work for in America" list highlights Qualcomm as a company with a low turnover rate, professional training and recreational facilities.

The rankings, which appeared in the January 8 issue of FORTUNE were compiled by FORTUNE with the help of Robert Levering and Milton Moskowitz, the best-selling authors of The 100 Best Companies to Work for in America. The list is based on the results of extensive research, analysis and a poll of more than 36,000 employees at hundreds of companies nationwide. For this year's ranking, the surveys and comments provided by the employees comprised two-thirds of the scoring, and the companies' responses to an audit comprised the remaining one-third.
