Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions Appoints George Dunn and David Hooper to New Positions

SAN DIEGO November 24, 1998 Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) todayannounced the appointment of George Dunn to vice president of U.S. salesand David Hooper to vice president of international sales for QualcommWireless Business Solutions™ (QWBS). Together, Dunn and Hooper will beresponsible for worldwide sales of integrated wireless data solutions, suchas the OmniTRACS® system, to provide competitive advantages for QWBSpartners and customers.

In his new role, Dunn will be responsible for all domestic salesactivities, including customer service and support. "George's goal is tocontinue to develop a world class sales and customer support organizationthat is driven by the needs of the transportation industry and othermarkets with a need for mobile data," said Phil White, senior vicepresident and general manager of Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions. "Aswe expand our focus and develop new wireless solutions, George's truckingindustry expertise and broad knowledge of mobile data applications will bean invaluable asset for our current and future customers."

Hooper is returning to the international arena after serving for two yearsas vice president of U.S. sales. "Dave brings to his new position a proventrack record of international and domestic accomplishments," stated GeorgeMansho, vice president and general manager of international business forQualcomm Wireless Business Solutions. "Dave was instrumental in creating ahighly-successful best practices program for our U.S. sales team which heplans to bring to our international business partners to help increasesales in the global marketplace."

Dunn joined Qualcomm in 1989. He was formerly with ABF Freight Systems andCustomized Transportation Inc. A native of New Jersey, Dunn holds abachelor's degree in Materials Logistic Management from Michigan StateUniversity.

Hooper joined Qualcomm in 1990. He was previously employed withTrailmobile, Inc. A native of Nashville, Tenn., Hooper holds a bachelor'sdegree in Business Administration from Tennessee Tech University.
