Citing tremendous growth and success in the development of the Company's Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASICs) business, Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) today announced the promotion of Don Schrock to president of the division.

Schrock joined Qualcomm in 1996 as corporate vice president and assumed leadership of the ASIC Products Division in August 1996. Schrock's extensive background includes more than 20 years experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Schrock served as group vice president and division manager of Hughes' Microelectronics Division. Schrock also held senior operations and general management positions at Motorola Semiconductor, Burr-Brown Corporation and Applied Micro Circuits Corporation. Schrock holds a bachelors of science in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois and a masters of science in electrical engineering and advanced business administration from Arizona State University.
