Qualcomm's Eudora Pro™ 3.0 Named Outstanding Consumer Software Product at Prestigious Internet World Industry Awards

Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM), a leader in wireless communications and advanced electronic messaging solutions for the Internet, added another prestigious award to its mantel, winning the outstanding consumer software product award for its Eudora Pro 3.0 Internet email software product. The award was presented recently in Los Angeles at Spring Internet World during the fourth annual Internet World Industry Awards gala at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

More than 30,000 votes were cast for more than 500 individual products in four product award categories by Internet World magazine readers and iWORLD Web site visitors during a three-month nomination process. A panel of magazine editors and contributors selected the winners from the finalists.

"This was a very tough category filled with outstanding competition. We were thrilled just to be nominated and we're truly honored to have won this award," said James DeBello, Vice President and Assistant General Manager, Qualcomm's Eudora Division.

"Everyone at the Eudora division has worked extremely hard over the past several years to expand our consumer user base by providing the most feature-rich, easy-to-use email solution on the market.

Today we have 18 million consumer and business customers worldwide who look to us to deliver the best email experience on the Internet with our Eudora Pro and Eudora Light™ products," added DeBello.

DeBello also urged Eudora® software users to upgrade their current versions of the product to take advantage of the exciting new features and plug-in products available to be used with Eudora Pro 3.0. Product upgrades and new product purchases can be made easily by visiting the Eudora Web site at http://www.eudora.com. Consumers upgrading from Eudora Light™ (freeware version) to Eudora Pro and first-time purchasers of a Eudora Pro product should also take advantage of the company's "Go with the Pro" product promotion which began on March 1 and runs through May 31 in retail outlets across the country. A fifteen dollar mail-in rebate is offered with any in-store purchase of Eudora Pro 3.0 software, and a ten dollar rebate is offered with any electronic purchase of the Eudora Pro 3.0 product.
