May Trucking Converts Fleet to Qualcomm

Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM) today announced that Oregon-based May Trucking Co. has signed a contract to purchase 1,000 OmniTRACS® mobile communications units from Qualcomm to replace its current mobile communications system. Terms of the contract include delivery of 625 units by year end. Installation has already begun.

"Although we were operating on a competing mobile communications system, we made the decision to switch to Qualcomm because of its stability in the industry and focused long-term strategy for future product development," stated Marvin May, president and CEO of May Trucking. "OmniTRACS is a proven system we can depend on to meet our growing needs."

"Technology is something that is constantly evolving and improving. We needed the guarantee that our mobile communications system could provide the upgrade path to handle our future growth - Qualcomm is able to give us that guarantee."

Celebrating over 50 years in the trucking business, May Trucking is one of the industry's most progressive providers of high quality service in the truckload sector today. May Trucking provides both refrigerated and dry van hauling throughout all 48 contiguous states.

"Companies are investing a great deal of time and money into improving their business through the use of technology," said John Sarto, senior vice president and general manager of Qualcomm's OmniTRACS division. "It's important that these companies have confidence in the technology they select. We're pleased that May Trucking is confident in our products, our technology and our commitment to the industry and we look forward to serving its communications needs well into the next century.
