Qualcomm and Ragsdell Group Sign Reseller Agreement for Geographical Database For Use by OmniTRACS Business Systems Customers

Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM) today announced it has signed a value-added reseller agreement with Ragsdell Group, Inc. to incorporate the GeoMaster geographical location encodingdatabase with Qualcomm's OmniTRACS® information management system (QTOPS™).The GeoMaster database, which integrates with existing OmniTRACS applications to enhance position reporting, will enable users to obtainmore precise location information.

"The GeoMaster database provides a level of accuracy and detail unprecedented in the transportation industry, and we are excited to be able to offer this tool to our QTOPS customers," said Chris Wolfe, director of product development for Qualcomm's OmniTRACS division. "For example, in Los Angeles, GeoMaster will now allow us to pinpoint and associate one ofthe city's 200 zip codes to any location in the metropolitan area. This more expansive, geographical data is in valuable and will make the QTOPS product, which performs optimally with the input of quality data, that much more powerful."

QTOPS business systems software includes operations applications, such as customer service, dispatch, payroll, general ledger, accounts receivable and fuel purchasing. GeoMaster is a data file that contains virtually all business and geographic data elements required by today's more sophisticated freight and general business management systems. Ragsdell compiled a special version of GeoMaster to serve as the "data engine" for QTOPS' highly advanced applications, including vehicle location.

Qualcomm's family of OmniTRACS products include the OmniTRACS mobile communications and position reporting system; value-added application software designed to enhance resource utilization, operations management and data flow integration; and information management systems. Qualcomm has sold more than 155,000 OmniTRACS units worldwide, with systems operating in the United States, Canada, Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Japan and Malaysia.

Oak Brook, Ill.-based Ragsdell Group, Inc., established in 1990, provides integrated transportation information databases to carriers, shippers and software developers.
