The Snapdragon AR2 Gen 1 disruptive multi-chip architecture optimizes for low-power, light glasses with better AI performance.

1. Snapdragon AR2 Gen 1: the first purpose-built platform for augmented reality

Our new Snapdragon AR2 Gen 1 Platform enables what you’ve been waiting for: slim, light, and more comfortable AR glasses.

This groundbreaking AR technology unlocks a new generation of highly capable glasses that can be light, sleek, and worn more easily than ever before. Our new AR2 platform is designed to revolutionize AR glasses and usher in a new era of spatial computing experiences.

Built from the ground up, its innovative multi-chip architecture distributes processing between AR glasses and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powered smartphone, using Wi-Fi 7. This enables experiences that are optimized for interaction-rich AR without compromising on power and comfort.

Mainstream is in the making

The capabilities of the AR2 — better performance, less power consuming, and designed for thin, light glasses — make it attractive to the OEM community. Multiple of them are collaborating with us to fuel the development of AR glasses based on Snapdragon AR2. We are also collaborating with Adobe and Niantic to continue building an ecosystem of content creators and XR developers leveraging Snapdragon Spaces.

3. Qualcomm S5 and S3 Gen 2 Sound Platforms delivers next-level sound experiences

Our most advanced Bluetooth audio platforms ever — the Qualcomm S5 Gen 2 Sound Platform and Qualcomm S3 Gen 2 Sound Platform, with support for Snapdragon Sound technology — delivers your next-level sound experience for pure listening bliss on even more of your connected devices.

These second-generation sound platforms are broadening our Snapdragon Sound portfolio, bringing Snapdragon Sound technology to wireless speakers for the first time, to mid-range earbuds for the first time and adding support for Snapdragon Sound with lossless music streaming for stereo headsets.

These new platforms have been designed to deliver the experiences we know consumers want most and include some new features and improvements to Snapdragon Sound including support for lossless music streaming over the new Bluetooth® LE Audio standard, which dynamically adapts in very busy RF environments to minimize annoying audio drop-outs and glitches. For gamers, we’ve improved the end-to-end latency which means more immersive and lag-free gaming, with added voice back-channel enablement for crisp in-game chat.

Plus, our latest spatial audio technology enables dynamic head-tracking with low sound-to-motion latency, delivering a more natural and all-encompassing premium sound experience over Bluetooth. This means that devices powered by our new sound platforms can help you stay on task, get lost in the music, or binge watch with ease.

4. Snapdragon compute platforms: unlocking best-in-class AI accelerated user experiences and a new level of mobile computing performance for Windows laptops

The way we use our laptops has fundamentally changed over the last several years. Online collaboration is essential to the way we live, work, and play. At Snapdragon Summit 2022, we detailed how dedicated on-device AI is vital to powering new, more intuitive, premium experiences across all connected PCs so you can move upward and onward every day.
