Snapdragon 888+ tops the latest MLPerf Inference benchmark submissions

There’s only one way to say it: the Snapdragon 888+ 5G Mobile Platform blew away the competition in the latest MLPerf Mobile Inference v1.1 benchmark submissions. In one assessment that tested Image Classification (single stream), Snapdragon topped the nearest non-Snapdragon competitor by more than 40%. Check out the results:

MLCommons is an open engineering consortium that has been working in the direction of creating machine learning benchmarks for training and inference testing platforms. Its MLPerf Mobile Inference is a highly regarded full-system benchmark, measuring processing speed of common AI use cases on smartphones: Image Classification (classifying the object in an image), Object Detection (detecting the objects in an image), Image Segmentation (cropping out the object in an image), and natural language processing (analyzing human language).
