How we all got one step closer to the future after Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020
Just two months ago we wrapped up Snapdragon Tech Summit Digital 2020. While we could not host the event at its regular Hawaiian island location, the event was nonetheless highly anticipated.
The highlight was our announcement of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G mobile platform, a powerhouse that delivers unbelievable experiences to users with smartphones enabled by Snapdragon.
The Snapdragon platform is like premium ingredients for chefs or, in this case, our ecosystem partners (the Independent Software Vendors, the Independent Hardware Vendors, and the Application Vendors). They’re the ones who use the Snapdragon "ingredients" (the extraordinary components in the Snapdragon platform) to deliver Michelin-star-worthy "dishes" (new experiences) to their customers.
The Snapdragon 888 5G mobile platform provides ecosystem partners with some mouthwatering ingredients, such as the cutting-edge 5G modems, the 6th gen Qualcomm AI Engine, and a wholly re-engineered Qualcomm Hexagon processor. There’s also the incredible image engine Qualcomm Spectra ISP — the photography engine that will make you forget all about your SLR camera. And just when you thought we stuffed all the ingredients we could into an extremely robust mobile platform, we say, “wait, there’s more.”
The Qualcomm Platform Solutions Ecosystem Program provides ecosystem partners with timely and exclusive access to the Snapdragon "ingredients." Thanks to the Qualcomm Platform Solutions Ecosystem, partners can port and validate their solutions on our platforms and deliver world-class smartphones.
