Qualcomm Platform Solutions Ecosystem

An infographic illustrating the benefits provided by the Qualcomm Platform Solutions Ecosystem

Differentiation through enabling partner solutions.

Our Qualcomm® Platform Solutions Ecosystem (PSE) consists of an ecosystem of hardware components, software solutions, and over-the-top (OTT) application vendors. This ecosystem enables supply chain diversity of hardware vendors to deliver validated components. It allows for software and application vendors to pre-integrate and optimize their solutions to create the best possible user experience and feature differentiation for our OEMs. The program provides:

Access to Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ hardware reference platform, software, tools and documentation for solutions development.

Solutions Architecture

Dedicated technical support for solutions architecture, training, debugging and optimization from proof of concept to deployment.

Access to Qualcomm Technologies’ chipset roadmap to understand HW capabilities, SW architecture and complexities.

Service labs for early validation, debug and full functional validation of key components to prevent downstream issues.

Software Providers

We are here to help software and application vendors gain insight into the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform hardware architecture and software capabilities to leverage it in their solutions. In addition to this, Qualcomm provides access to the reference hardware, software, tools, training, documentation, solutions architecture consultation and technical support through the development as well as deployment with OEMs. OEMs benefit from a pre-integrated/optimized solution with measured performance that helps reduce their integration burden.

Hardware Component Vendors

Hardware component vendors gain access to Qualcomm Technologies service labs and technical experts during early critical validation of the hardware components against the SoCs. Our service lab also allows for more in-depth testing facilities that qualify the vendor components for the “preferred vendor list” (PVL) that the OEMs need to ensure that parts are verified by Qualcomm Technologies.

OTT Application Vendors

OTT application vendors are no longer constrained by the fragmentation of different levels of SoCs, allowing them to avoid having to design the application for the lowest common denominator of the chipset capability. OTT application vendors benefit from gaining insight into Snapdragon platform hardware capabilities, software architectures, and APIs, enabling them to leverage these tools to create the best possible user experience and performance.

How does the program work?

The Qualcomm Platform Solutions Ecosystem program supports ISVs, IHVs, and OTT application vendors from a technology perspective, focusing on how the vendor solution docks into the workflow. The program supports major technologies, including camera, audio, display, and AI, by helping to pre-integrate and optimize, resulting in solutions that offer both a premium user experience and feature differentiation for our OEMs.
