Xiaomi Mi Pro 10 featuring Snapdragon 865 captures #1 spot in DXOMark, delivers record-breaking camera quality
The first review of a smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G Mobile Platform has been released and has set a new record score for camera image quality.
Camera image quality benchmarking site DXOMARK has just tested their first Snapdragon 865 powered smartphone – the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. Through detailed image quality tuning from the Qualcomm Technologies and Xiaomi camera engineering teams, DXOMARK has awarded the Mi Pro 10 a score of 124, capturing the #1 spot in the rankings.
To achieve this new level of camera quality, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro features an absolutely stunning multi-camera system powered by Snapdragon 865. The rear multi-camera system includes four cameras detailed in Xiaomi’s blog:
“…a 108-megapixel main camera, Mi 10 Pro also includes a classic 50mm portrait lens with 2x optical zoom, a telephoto lens with 10x hybrid zoom, and a 20MP ultra wide-angle lens, each of which is of flagship level, and with the camera system supported by dual OIS.”
Qualcomm Technologies worked closely with Xiaomi to finely tune the rear multi-camera system to deliver a knock-out score. According to DXOMARK:
“The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro achieves an outstanding DXOMARK Camera score of 124, making it the new leader in our smartphone camera image quality ranking. Overall, image results are quite similar to last year’s CC9 Pro Premium Edition, but thanks to the more powerful Snapdragon 865 chipset and refined tuning (especially in terms of texture rendering, night performance, and corner sharpness)…The new device’s camera delivers excellent (and sometimes class-leading) results in virtually all test categories, making it a top choice for any mobile photography or videography enthusiast, as well as a very deserving new leader in our DXOMARK Camera ranking.”
The Snapdragon 865 can deliver a massive boost in image quality and new camera features thanks to its camera core – the Qualcomm Spectra 480 Image Signal Processor (ISP). The new Qualcomm Spectra 480 ISP captures professional-quality photos and videos — and it’s faster than ever, processing two gigapixels per second. This gigapixel speed delivers faster and better image quality, as well as new camera features including 8K video capture that you can see for yourself on YouTube in 8K.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is expected to be available for purchase in China starting February 24, 2020. You can read more about this Snapdragon 865 smartphone on Xiaomi’s blog.
