With cutting-edge technologies that truly take advantage of the smartphone’s every corner, HTC’s new flagship offering is its biggest and boldest phone to date. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform, the HTC U12+ is engineered to deliver superior power and performance with seamless, customizable navigation.

Users can access apps, such as the dual camera, with just a squeeze, so they’ll always be ready to catch the perfect shot. And between its vivid 6-inch screen and crystal-clear audio, they’ll be able to play back multimedia in HD with booming sound to match.

Thanks to a combination of edge-sensitive hardware and top-of-the-line camera and audio software, the HTC U12+ elevates the mobile experience.

Power, performance, and Gigabit connectivity

With premium-level specs across the board, the HTC U12+ is designed to deliver lightning fast graphics and speeds, thanks to the Snapdragon 845. The integrated Snapdragon X20 LTE modem is designed to support next-level performance without sacrificing battery life. The modem supports speeds of up to 1.2 Gbps, so users can enjoy super-fast, reliable connections nearly wherever they are.

Lights, camera, capture

The HTC U12+ boasts two rear cameras and two front cameras, all of which deliver vividly artistic photos and videos, with help from the Qualcomm Spectra 280 ISP and Ultra HD premium capture for brighter color. With multiple cameras on hand, users have more control of composition and are free to experiment with different photographic styles.

Advanced camera features, including UltraSpeed Autofocus 2, allow users to capture brilliant shots, even when the subject is on the move. The cameras are also integrated with HDR Boost 2 technology to adapt to almost any lighting condition and take detailed photos with less noise.

When recording video, the U12+ offers Sonic Zoom, which gives users more control over the video’s audio by zooming in on a particular sound or voice. And with one-touch auto zoom, the user-turned-movie-director can utilize the main camera’s 2X optical zoom and 10X digital zoom for the perfect dramatic close-up.

With these tools at the user’s disposal, the U12+ received a DxOMark score of 103 — the highest independently rated camera in the industry for a dual-camera smartphone.

Crystal-clear audio, inside and out

To help ensure users hear every precise note while listening to their favorite tunes or streaming movies, the HTC U12+ is equipped with BoomSound Hi-Fi edition speakers and USonic earbuds that shape sounds to fit the unique structure of the user’s ear. Active Noise Cancellation automatically monitors and adapts to environmental sounds, removing unwanted distractions. And to round it all out, Qualcomm aptX HD audio supports high resolution 24-bit Bluetooth audio for crisp wireless audio.

Leading-edge (Sense) technologies

One of the most unique features of the HTC U12+ is its Edge Sense 2 technology. Using the physical edge of the phone as an interactive component, Edge Sense 2 utilizes touch feedback to know which hand is holding the device. The result is a one-handed mobile experience designed so users can effortlessly navigate the U12+ in their own way.

The technology provides personalized ways to interact with the U12+. Squeeze the sides to open the camera app and take photos, double tap the screen as a back key, or hold to lock the screen orientation when the phone is placed down on a surface, for example. The Edges Sense 2 makes use of the U12+’s squeezable exterior for a smoother, more intuitive user experience, in more ways than one.

Looks good, feels good

The HTC U12+ boasts an impressive 6-inch display and a cinematic 18:9 widescreen ratio, which makes it HTC’s biggest phone yet. Ultra-thin screen borders ensure that no space is wasted, and pressure-sensitive buttons and Edge Sense 2, guarantee a more intuitive mobile experience.

The device’s colors are as bold as its features: The U12+ will come in Translucent Blue, Ceramic Black, and Flame Red.

The HTC U12+ is available on the HTC site and Amazon today. For more information on the mobile platform powering it all, visit the Snapdragon 845 page.
