Thin, light BLU Vivo Air upgrades to LTE with Snapdragon 410

BLU has announced the Vivo Air LTE smartphone, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. At 5.1 millimeters, it’s one of the world’s thinnest LTE phones ever, and at 98 grams, one of the lightest, too.

The BLU Vivo Air LTE doesn’t compromise on power to achieve those distinctions. In addition to the 64-bit capable processor, the smartphone offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It launches with Android Lollipop, with the company promising to update to next-gen Android 6.0 M in early 2016. And the Vivo Air LTE is designed to conserve battery power with a super-low power mode, so it can last for days without recharging.

The Air Vivo LTE supports vivid image capture with an 8-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel front selfie camera, which shoots with a Largan camera lens and a blue glass filter for clear, crisp photos. Unlike other super-thin phones, it doesn’t have a camera bump and retains its headphone jack.

The aircraft-grade aluminum phone is protected with front-and-back Gorilla Glass and features a Super AMOLED LCD display. The phone will be available for now in black and white models, unlocked, with support from AT&T, T-Mobile, and Mobile PCS.
