ASUS has debuted the ZenWatch 2, a new and improved sequel to the original ZenWatch. Produced in partnership with Android Wear, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor powered watch is the smart and stylish friend your Android smartphone wishes it had.

The second-generation Asus smartwatch has improved on its predecessor’s exclusive features, including seamless Asus ZenUI integration with Asus phones, with such features as What’s Next and Do It Later. It also includes Business Helper, which helps wearers with tasks such as checking agendas and managing email, and FoneHelper, a connected app with useful capabilities such as Find My Phone, Cover to Mute, and Unlock My Phone.

The Remote Camera feature displays your smartphone camera’s viewfinder right on your wrist, allowing you to compose and shoot your smartphone photos remotely. Now the app has faster performance, more range, and zoom capability, and can switch between the phone’s front and rear cameras. Just hold your phone over a crowd at a concert, and using Remote Camera, take the perfect shot of the stage. Gather friends and family for a group photo, and use the ZenWatch 2 to view the composition while you’re still included in the shot.

The new smartwatch also includes ZenWatch Message, a watch-to-watch communication app that lets you exchange short messages, emojis, and drawings with other ZenWatch 2 wearers.

The device works with the new ZenWatch Wellness smartphone app, a personal activity and fitness manager that lets you view all of your activity information in one location. On the application, you can view your progress through sleek graphs that are easy to interpret and analyze.

The ZenWatch 2 comes with a new magnetic charger that attaches easily to the device and improves battery recharge times by 35 percent, says Asus. The screen is smooth and responsive to gestures, made from Gorilla Glass 3 that protects the device from scratches and damage. And with an IP67 water resistance rating, the smartwatch can be worn all day—even in the shower or during exercise.

The ZenWatch 2 is available in two sizes and three stainless steel case colors: gunmetal, silver, and rose. Strap materials and colors abound. Rubber straps come in blue, orange, red, and taupe; and leather straps are khaki, brown, gray, blue, or orange. Stainless steel link bracelet straps come in silver, gunmetal, and rose gold. And through a collaboration with Swarovski Professional, a leather strap with an embossed diamond pattern and Swarovski crystal accents is also available for the ZenWatch 2. And finally, the Watch Face Land app lets you create your own watch faces, making your ZenWatch 2 more you.
