Huawei P8 lite: premium smartphone style with a budget-friendly price

The Huawei P8 lite is an affordable phone with the good looks of a high-end device. The device carries over the attractive design language of the company’s P8 flagship, including chrome edges, a slim 7.7-mm profile, and a back with a brushed-metal look, and is currently available for $249 unlocked.

Featuring a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, with 2GB of RAM, the P8 lite has a 5-inch, 720p IPS display that’s protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The phone also weighs just a little over 4 and a half ounces, which, combined with the slim profile, makes for a device that’s easy to stow in a pocket or bag and forget about until you need it—or until someone needs to reach you.

Aside from the rear-facing 13-megapixel camera, the P8 Lite can also take 5-megapixel selfies with its front-facing camera. And with a double tap of the volume button, the Ultra Snapshot feature can launch the camera and take a photo in under 2 seconds, so you’ll never miss that important moment.

The P8 lite supports GSM, HSPA, and LTE, so T-Mobile and AT&T customers can get full 4G LTE speeds. And each of the two SIM card slots support LTE, making this an excellent phone for international travelers and for people who need access to two lines on the same phone.

Despite the P8 lite’s low price, Huawei hasn’t skimped on storage. You get 16GB built-in, and a MicroSD card slot for adding extra capacity. The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat underneath the company’s custom Emotion UI 3.1 skin. Find out more about the P8 lite at gethuawei.com.
