Hands on with the Razer Forge TV

The Game Developers Conference going on this week showcases many gaming innovations, and Razer Forge TV is one that stands out. The sleek, puck-sized hub serves all your entertainment needs. Users can play games, watch movies by beaming content with Google Cast using the convenient micro-console, which users can control via smartphone.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, the Razer Forge TV has 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of onboard storage. The micro-console supports devices running on Android 5.0, iOS, and Windows. Earlier this year, it won CES Best of Show in both the gaming and people’s choice categories. Thanks to the powerful Qualcomm Adreno 420 GPU the Razer Forge TV is designed to deliver stunning console quality graphics.

The Razer Forge TV has received some sparkling reviews and we’re hardly surprised:

  • “Working with Android TV is swift and impressive. Cycling through movies, apps, and games is simpler here than any other interface we've yet tried.” - SlashGear
  • “The Razer Forge is probably the Android TV box you'll want to buy.” - Android Central
  • “Here at Engadget, we deemed the company's Forge TV as the best gaming product at CES: a cheap, solid micro-console that'll stream your PC games, whatever the hardware.” - Engadget
  • “Razer's forged a sword to strike Nvidia's Shield.” - Tech Radar

Razer Forge TV is expected to be available this spring. Read our initial post and sign up to be notified when it’s available at the Razerzone web site.
