Qualcomm introduces Snapdragon LTE modems, and defines new LTE modem classes

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has been a wireless industry leader in LTE development. However, at times, it’s been challenging for those outside Qualcomm to understand the relationship between Qualcomm Snapdragon processors with integrated LTE, and discrete Qualcomm Gobi modems.

Today, we’re simplifying things. Moving forward, Snapdragon will also be the brand for our discrete LTE multimode modems—and comparing the capabilities of our modems, whether integrated into Snapdragon processors or discrete—will be much easier.
