How to jump-start your robotics startup [VIDEO]

So, you’re building robots that can change the world… and you think that if you had just a bit more support you’d be able to get your project over the finish line? The Qualcomm Robotics Accelerator Program, powered by Techstars, might be what you’re looking for to take your robotics startup to the next level and—beyond.

Qualcomm and Techstars are looking for 10 robotics startups that we can assist with technical and business support and ultimately help accelerate the development of their next-generation robotics and intelligent machines. Is that you?

Qualcomm is committing more than $1 million in aggregate funding to program participants. Additionally, participants will be provided mentorship from key Qualcomm Robotics executives as well as business and technical insight on robotics during the duration of the program. Techstars will also be providing participants access to a network of more than 3,000 successful entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, and corporate partners.

The program will commence in May 2015 and conclude in September 2015 with a Demo Day, where each team will have the opportunity to present their work to investors, industry leaders, and the community at large.

So what’s the catch? For one thing, we’re only selecting 10 companies—so whatever you bring, bring your best. And you have to submit your application here by March 8, 2015 to be considered.
