Gamers of all skill levels descended on Lexington Social House, a swank music lounge located smack in the middle of Hollywood and Vine, to partake in a pre-qualifier that would land them the opportunity to break a Guiness Book of World record. The event was hosted by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon™ Processors, and over 65 players gamed valiantly to earn a spot on the Snapdragon World Record Challenge roster, which will consist of 50 players that will game for 26 hours straight during the E3 Game Conference in Los Angeles.
Groups of ten gamers were ushered into a gaming lounge, where they battled to post the fastest finish time while playing Gameloft’s GT Racing: Motor Academy. The game is part of the Snapdragon GamePack and was loaded on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 provided by AT&T, featuring a Snapdragon S3 processor. Meanwhile, the awaiting challengers were treated to hors d’oevres and drinks while trying out the latest Android games on commercial Snapdragon-based smartphones, such as the HTC One X (AT&T) and Samsung Galaxy Note (LTE).
