Announcing Advanced Shader Delivery on Snapdragon X2 Series

We're excited to announce that DirectX12 Advanced Shader Delivery (ASD) is now available on Windows PCs powered by the Snapdragon X2 Series. This key feature enhances the overall gaming experience by reducing redundant shader compilation, helping games launch faster and run more smoothly.

You can learn more about Advanced Shader Delivery on the Microsoft DirectX Developer Blog.

To take advantage of these improvements, download Qualcomm Adreno Windows Graphics Drivers for Snapdragon® X Platform version 2026.08.3 or later.

Gears of War: E-Day startup performance

With Gears of War: E-Day, ASD significantly improved the load time for Gears of War: E-Day on the Snapdragon X2 Elite Series, reducing it from a few minutes to just seconds and delivering over 95% time savings.

For Game Developers

To enable Precompiled Shader Database (PSDB) generation, Qualcomm provides a DirectX 12 Compiler Plugin that supports the conversion of State Object Database (SODB) files into PSDB files.
