Trailer Tracks 210 Offers More Memory and Processing Power, Embedded Solar Power, More Compact Design, Bluetooth® and More SAN DIEGO
Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM), a leading provider of integrated wireless systems and services to transportation, logistics and service fleet companies, today announced its new Trailer Tracks 210 (TT210) solution. The next-generation Trailer Tracks solution delivers timely information about the load status and location of trailers with enhanced features that improve the return on investment for fleets that incorporate trailer tracking into their operations. TT210 is slated for commercial availability in the first quarter of 2011.
TT210 is the successor to Qualcomm’s Trailer Tracks 200 (TT200) untethered trailer management solution. It delivers additional features to transportation and logistics companies seeking maximum return on investment, enhanced asset and cargo security, and improved asset utilization. The features include:
• An embedded solar panel and antenna
• Improved memory and processing power
• Superior coverage in Mexico, which is important to carriers that operate throughout the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) region
• A more compact design that enables simpler, less time-consuming installation
• Bluetooth capability
Both TT210 and TT200 leverage the same Trailer Tracks host environment, so customers using either or both platforms will benefit from future host development and will manage their trailer assets from a single Web portal. Additionally, because both TT210 and TT200 can operate within a single fleet, customers will continue to derive value from their investment in both platforms.
“We are pleased to introduce Trailer Tracks 210, our next-generation solution for carriers to improve their bottom line through asset management and visibility,” said Jeff Griswold, senior product manager for Qualcomm Enterprise Services. “With simplified installation, embedded solar power, improved memory and processing power, and Bluetooth technology, TT210 delivers enhanced capabilities to the transportation and logistics industry.”
