Qualcomm Announces Circle of Service Workflow to Improve Operational Efficiency

New Service Leverages Advanced Technologies to Relay Critical Information via Intuitive, Intelligent User Interface

Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading provider of business-to-business wireless enterprise applications and services, today announced the addition of Circle of Service Workflow, a new Qualcomm Transportation Service that improves operational efficiency through better management of load assignments, automated event triggers and pre-filled work process forms. Circle of Service Workflow is available on both the Mobile Computing Platform 100 (MCP100) and 200 (MCP200) series.

Circle of Service Workflow helps carriers transform their business by moving fleets from macro-based circle of service to an intuitive and intelligent user interface, resulting in improved customer service, driver productivity and asset utilization. It also reduces training requirements and associated costs. Just-in-time prompts and exception notifications enable drivers to reduce their dependence on back-office staff for key information.

“Circle of Service Workflow represents a business model shift for fleets,” said Norm Ellis, vice president of transportation and logistics sales and services for Qualcomm Enterprise Services. “Qualcomm is taking full advantage of leading technologies such as our mobile computing platform's touchscreen graphical display to make fleets safer and more efficient. Advances in geoservices and application integration will further enable the development of increasingly powerful services for transportation and logistics companies.”

Circle of Service Workflow helps transportation and logistics companies improve both the driver and customer experiences with features that include a list of scheduled stops, automated arrival and departure detection with latitude and longitude, and pre-filled work process forms.

Since 1988, Qualcomm Enterprise Services has provided integrated wireless systems and services to transportation and logistics companies around the world. With more than 1.3 million mobile units shipped to businesses in 39 countries on four continents, Qualcomm Enterprise Services delivers the business insight these companies need in order to operate at peak performance and provide superior customer service. Backed by a global, 24x7, world-class technology infrastructure, customer care and professional services, QES is positioned to meet and exceed the increasingly complex and business-critical needs of its more than 2,500 clients.
