SAN DIEGO -- April 2, 2003 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced that IBM has been honored as the Supplier of the Year for calendar year 2002 by the Company's Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT) division. This award recognizes a key supplier that has demonstrated the highest levels of quality, delivery and service performance as well as the support that enabled QCT to exceed its business objectives for the calendar year.

"We are very pleased to announce that IBM has earned the Supplier of the Year award for 2002," said Lorraine Stamoulis Surnamer, senior vice president of procurement for QCT.
