Qualcomm Signs CDMA Modem Card License Agreement with INTERCUBE

SAN DIEGO -- March 8, 2001 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced that it has entered into a CDMA modem card license agreement with INTERCUBE Co., Ltd. Under the terms of the royalty-bearing agreement, Qualcomm has granted INTERCUBE a worldwide license under Qualcomm's CDMA technology and patents to design and market innovative solutions for second and third-generation (3G) CDMA (cdma2000, cdma2000 1xEV, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA) applications. INTERCUBE will pay Qualcomm ongoing royalties at the same rates for second generation and 3G equipment, irrespective of the licensed CDMA standard implemented.
