Qualcomm Introduces the PCubed Post Processing Platform

SAN DIEGO -- March 19, 2001 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced the introduction of the PCubed™ Post Processing Platform, a unique Windows®-based software tool that parses and processes log files gathered by air-interface test tools, such as the QCTest™ CDMA Air Interface Tester (CAIT). The PCubed software tool processes binary log files to produce a time-aligned synoptic view of variables, which can then be viewed in text, tabular and graphical formats, and can be exported into text files.

The PCubed software tool provides a unique and flexible framework to allow the user to view parsed data through user-customized screens. The software provides three types of views to analyze log file data, all of which contain user-defined CDMA variables: time graphs, which present a graphical representation of performance statistics; text grids, which demonstrate variable values in text format for a single instance in time within the log file; and time grids, which sort by time-stamp value, including all values for a variable that occur in a log file. The PCubed software tool is capable of exporting comma-separated text to a file that can be used by other tools, such as spreadsheets. The PCubed tool works with MapInfo™ files and allows users to configure and color-code an unlimited number of map screens with MapInfo support. The PCubed software supports cdma2000 1x, cdma2000 1xEV, and will also support 3x MC and WCDMA in the near future.

"Unlike other tools, PCubed does not limit the user to analyses features conceived by the developer," said Arne Mortensen, vice president of engineering for QCTest and Deployment Products. "Users know best what they would like to study, and PCubed is currently available to fully support cdma2000."
