Qualcomm Incorporated has signed on to sponsor the San Diego Symphony Summer Pops, the eight-week, outdoor series that will mark the return of the symphonic music to San Diego, according to Thomas Gerdom, interim president and chief executive officer.
"The return of the Symphony is made that much brighter by Qualcomm's corporate support," said Gerdom. "This sponsorship bodes well for our efforts to build a strong base of business support as we move through the summer and into our fall season."

The Summer Pops, a traditional, light-classical favorite that appeals to a wide range of musical tastes, begins with a Tchaikovsky program on Friday, July 24, and concludes on Sept.11 and 12 with Fiesta Mariachi!.
