The modern enterprise is evolving, with new hybrid work models driving adaptation for both companies and their workforce in the never-ending pursuit of productivity. Whether connecting with colleagues over video chat at home or with remote workers while in the office, the enterprise PC is the primary device to enable advanced applications like video conferencing, cloud-based software, and real-time collaboration tools. All segments of this ecosystem project significant and sustained growth driven in large part by the enterprise industry investing in cloud-based software solutions, communication, and AI.

This reality influences the sophisticated design and feature lineup of the Qualcomm FastConnect systems powering today's highest performing enterprise PCs – a mix of high-performance Wi-Fi connectivity that meets the modern enterprise’s demand for high speed, low latency, and stable connections in highly populated networks.

FastConnect 6900 delivers:

  • Peak speeds of up to 3.6 Gbps, ensuring businesses are equipped with a high-performance connection.
  • Support for high bandwidth 160MHz channels in both 5 and 6GHz bands, and industry-first advanced 4K QAM modulation techniques help achieve and sustain high speed, low latency connections.
  • Unique 4-Stream (2x2 + 2x2) Dual Band Simultaneous (DBS), simultaneously sending data packets across available channels to achieve unbelievably low latency, ideal for latency sensitive video applications.
  • Over a decade of MU-MIMO pedigree tackles congestion, nearly doubling up and down link connections by optimizing traffic management.

While employees may not know these features by name, they will surely realize and appreciate their value as they quickly access files from the cloud, enjoy jitter-free streaming of audio and video, and seamlessly collaborate in real time with multiple colleagues at once.

Our ecosystem of Snapdragon Compute platforms incorporates FastConnect systems, combined with leadership 5G to offer an unrivaled connectivity portfolio for the modern enterprise. In addition to the deep integration with Snapdragon Compute platforms, FastConnect is broadly leveraged as a leading connectivity solution across the enterprise PC ecosystem. In collaboration with Microsoft, FastConnect 6900 debuted 4-Stream DBS to deliver the wire-like speed, latency, and stability that became a signature Windows 11 feature known as Wi-Fi Dual Station.

Qualcomm Technologies also collaborated with AMD to optimize a specialized suite of enterprise technologies for business computers. With the AMD RyzenTM PRO 6000 Series and FastConnect 6900, IT administrators can now leverage wireless manageability to diagnose and repair remotely, even when the Operating System is unavailable. Out of band wireless manageability is important for businesses to adapt and provide support to employees for the new hybrid work environment.
