Collision 2022: Marketing a differentiated driving experience in the future of auto [video]

The excitement was palpable as more than 35,500 technology enthusiasts descended onto Toronto for the largest tech event in Canada since the pandemic began. Entirely sold out, Collision 2022 hosted more than 900 speakers, 1,500 startups, 1,200 journalists, and 850 investors. As the Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. CMO, I was honored to join my friend Deborah Wahl, Global CMO at General Motors (GM), on stage for an engaging fireside chat about how a digital-first strategy can reach consumers in new ways as automakers reinvent the driving experience.

The future of auto is cloud-connected, electric, and autonomous. Innovations from mobile – including connectivity, efficient processing, and AI – are converging in vehicles through the digital chassis. Automakers will be able to offer differentiated driving experiences that are more personalized and immersive throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle, even after it’s driven off the lot. With Qualcomm and GM's strong collaboration as our foundation, Deborah and I delved into what this means for automakers when marketing 21st century vehicles to consumers.
