Qualcomm Snapdragon Access Control security architecture

The Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile Platform is loaded with technologies that deliver professional camera quality, immersive gaming, contactless payments, and more. Qualcomm Technologies designs these technologies to be fast, low power, and private by developing innovations in security hardware and security software. 

To handle the diverse use cases and applications, there is a need to protect assets such as user private data, paid content, account credentials, and device configuration in a manner such that only authorized applications have access to them.  Access Control architectures enable these protections, and today Qualcomm Technologies is releasing a white paper that details the Access Control architecture inside Snapdragon. 

Access Control is one of the most important foundations of Snapdragon security architecture.  Access Control architecture allows enhanced isolation and protection of the distinct Execution Environments, also known as Security Domains. This architecture provides enhanced protection of isolated data in the security domains and helps limit the impact if one domain or hardware interface is compromised.

Snapdragon Access Control architecture can be used in any device powered by Snapdragon, from smartphones and cars to IoT devices, Extended Reality headsets, and Mobile PCs.
