It Keeps Going and Going...

Remember those Energizer commercials with the bunny playing the drums? Wouldn’t it be great if you didn’t have to keep worrying about your mobile device running out of battery at some point during the day? It sure would be. Battery life is still the number one requested feature in smartphone purchase decisions.

However, as smartphones and tablets provide better and better experiences with each new generation, maintaining long battery life has become more challenging. Delivering these experiences on the stunning, high resolution screens of mobile devices require a lot of compute horsepower. Meeting this increased horsepower demand without draining the battery is the challenge for system-on-a-chip (SoC) vendors.
