Formula E Car Makes its Public Debut in Sin City [VIDEO]

Auto racing’s biggest—and loudest—buzz took place today in Las Vegas, where the Formula E racecar, sporting Qualcomm livery, performed its first ever public demo run.

The car is ready and is made up of stuff that makes car enthusiasts drool—carbon fiber, Kevlar, aluminum and magnesium. Ten teams are lined up to battle for the first ever Formula E championship. And 10 venues are ready to host this new, forward-thinking form of motorsport. While the car is fairly quiet, be assured that when the first green flag drops in Beijing this September, everyone will hear about Formula E, loud and clear.

Qualcomm is collaborating with Formula E to create new technology experiences for the race series. This includes new innovations around connected fan experiences, electric vehicles, telemetry data and mobile interactivity.
