“Just as I was getting used to hearing people talk about storage capacities measured in zettabytes (10^21 bytes), these guys at MIT have developed a technology that stores bits in individual molecules, enabling a 1000X improvement in storage density. I can remember when a 40MB disk drive seemed vast. What will people do with yottabytes (10^24) of data? Beats me, but someone will find a use for it and then everyone will want it in their smartphone, tablet or notebook system.”
