The application is designed to use a camera to monitor a hydrometer. An IP camera can be used to support remote monitoring. The images of the hydrometer are obtained and processed on the DragonBoard™ 410c from Arrow Electronics and the data is sent to cloud services.
Objective
The main goal of this project is to demonstrate how connectivity and processing power of the DragonBoard 410c allows you to create Smart City solutions. This solution is designed to collect information from the older analog equipment in a noninvasive way.
Materials Required / Parts List / Tools
- DragonBoard 410c boards
- 12V wall adapter
- Micro SD Card (16GB)
- Pumatronix IP Camera
- USB Keyboard
- HDMI Monitor

Build / Assembly Instructions
The build instructions can be found in the README file on the GitLab link. Some of the libraries will take a very long time to compile on the board, be patient. You need to create an IBM Watson IoT account for the cloud services communication, the steps can be found in the GitLab too.
Usage Instructions
You need to physically install the camera on the hydrometer and calibrate the code accordingly. The detailed steps are in the GitLab. After the calibration, you can run the main application and monitory the sensor remotely.
