LG announced its follow-up to the award-winning G Pro, the LG G Pro 2, powered by the cutting-edge Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 800 processor. The phablet will be the first of its kind to use Snapdragon camera and photo editing technologies which help enable LG’s new Natural Flash and Magic Focus features. Natural Flash helps snap true-to-life images by capturing a balanced color temperature and exposure, while Magic Focus offers users the option to select their preferred depth of focus before saving. Users can also select the “All in Focus” icon for full image clarity.
Sleekly designed with an extra slim bezel, this 5.9-inch Full HD powerhouse records in 4K ULTRA HD video while also boasting high-power 1W Hi-Fi sound. The LG G Pro 2 also boasts three different slow-motion editing options and is the first LG phone to offer an enhanced 13MP camera with OIS+ (optical image stabilizer plus) that includes anti-shake functionality.
The LG G Pro 2 is scheduled to come loaded with the latest version of Android 4.4 KitKat, as well as Knock Code™, the updated version of LG’s KnockON feature. Using the sophisticated sensor engine of the Snapdragon processor, designed to save power for this “always-on” user experience, Knock Code offers G Pro 2 owners the convenience and security to power on and unlock their phone in one easy step by tapping their screen using one of 86,367 available “knock” combinations. The knock pattern can be entered on any area of the screen and include anywhere from two to eight taps.
LG unveiled the G Pro 2 to the Korean public on February 13, and LG has said it will be available soon after Mobile World Congress 2014, starting in Asia. Attendees of MWC will have a chance to experience the G Pro 2 first-hand at the LG booth.
