Qualcomm Extension Program

Extending innovation in smart audio technology

The way we listen to, interact with, and connect to our audio devices is changing, challenging manufacturers to innovate and deliver new features and use cases. The Qualcomm Extension Program is designed to connect manufactures with the ecosystem of solution providers extending the features and functions of our audio platforms, providing a cost-effective path to differentiated products.

Qualcomm® Extension Program members provide unique sets of software features available for direct licensing and enjoy business matchmaking and promotion to accelerate their business. The program is designed to drive mutually beneficial goals of reducing product development time with many plug-and-play features already integrated onto our audio platforms, connecting our customers with audio experts, and in some cases helping reduce costs by replacing dedicated hardware with software alternatives.

Increased business opportunities

We focus on nurturing joint business opportunities with member companies through recommendation in online systems in order to accelerate adoption of member audio solutions and services. Members also receive priority access to comarketing opportunities to help build awareness of the advances made possible through our collaboration.

Cost-effective path to differentiation

From software solutions for voice recognition and audio enhancement, to hardware component integration of microphones, to software integration services for DSP algorithms, members offerings can help manufacturers quickly innovate to keep pace with shifting consumer demands and desires.

Faster time to commercial solution

Members can now accelerate their development and fulfill critical launch windows by minimizing device integration requirements. We work to promote members offerings through our customer facing systems, helping members to reach a broader customer audience. In addition to our in-depth technology access, members could benefit from direct technical support.
